Then as you continue to choose, everything is yours. " ~Vernon Howard *** I have lost a lot of friends over the last two decades, between AIDS, drugs and some of them just walking out of my life. There was a time where I felt that I was so lonely for people in my life, that I was never going to be able to make it to 'the eternal tunnel' that we all hope to see at the end of our paths, I felt that way because I did not understand my own value, my own beauty, my own courage. This is my tunnel and my 'finished checkered flag'. When I travel down my tunnel, I plan on greeting my maker with my boots on, and worn out from living good, hard, and I know that when I cross that finish line, my friends will be there to greet me with loving open arms. I miss my folks and friends, but I also know that we are separated by the thinnest of veils, and all I have to do is continue...untill my time comes to walk the path. This is a work of JOY & reminds me that each and every heartbeat should count for something...be of value to myself and to the greater good of all of humanity, each heartbeat is there to serve, my human form wants to respond to that need, I want to serve.
